Inspirations Page
Many of you are likely to recognise, or think you recognise, parts of the L&TR. Although the major sources of inspiration for the railway have been the Talyllyn and Festiniog Railways, there are many little vignettes which come from other areas. Some of the prototype photographs on this page are reproduced with permission, gratefully received, and I must ask that they are not copied without similar permission.
Please bear in mind that this page is likely to be under development for some time as I will only ask Andy to add photos once I have permission to do so.

The Chapel

This small chapel at Abergynolwyn provided much of the inspiration for the one I built at Llanmynach as it was about the right size - in fact I paced out the length and width and built to the same floor area!

Also at Abergynolwyn were these other two and I looked closely at the features of all these for ideas.

One thing I noted was that these three chapels managed to point to three different points of the compass! So I'm satisfied that Welsh chapels don't only lie east-west!
